Thanked: 1Type of Point?
I was wondering which type of point (tip shape) do you prefer on your straight razor and why?

My earlobes vote for round points, although they will abide a square or spike if it is slightly muted.

Thanked: 1936Anything other than a round point, I don't care for the look. Otherwise they all really work...

I really like razors with a barbers notch, just for the look.

Thanked: 46Spike with very little mute. However, that is what I started with over 40 years ago. All of the different points work well, so it comes down to personal choice. Good Luck, wildhog

I have no preference as long as the razor has a good edge and is not too small for my hands.

I have them all and I like my Spanish point on the Wacker the best...It has the best of all worlds. Flexibility to get in tight corners without knicking a major artery...When I use my spikes I have to make sure my "I've fallen and can't get up" button is nearby.....I almost flat lined last time I shaved with my Red Imp...
