    I personally use Turtle Wax polishing compound. You could also use Maas or Mother's or any other metal polishing compound that you can find at an auto parts store.

    +1 for Kees. Over the years I have ditched a bunch of cell scales. In most cases I have done this as a safeguard. After only ONE wrecked razor, I learned to watch cell scales like a hawk. As nice as some of them look, I would still rather have plastic, wood, horn, or bone. Best, wildhog

    Thanks for your assistance. I tried the polishing compound, and it worked! When they dried, I put oil on them.
