Try to keep your fingers you're holding the razor with, as well, as the shank, dry.
There are plenty of regular production razors with jimps, the choice isn't between no jimps and custom razor.

How about some shrink tubing?

Oh I know there are plenty of them out there. 2 of the three razors I currently own have jimps. I was just saying that I'd like to have a custom razor. I'd really like something from Charles Lewis. His blades are pure beauty.
