All the razors i have shave ok. What more could i need. They are just everyday tools for shaving. Nothing more nothing less.

Thanked: 1587I think I have my dream razor. But I agree with the Lancet, anything by Charlie, and now Max as well. There are so many good makers and beautiful razors out there.
Anyway, here's a pic or two of my dream razor, made for me by Alex Jacques:

After nearly 2 years at this, I still only have four very serviceable, but not very fancy razors. Though my current financial status puts fancy razors WAY down the priority list, my list looks something like this:
Solingen: Otto Deutsch Hans, a nice Revizor and a nice Wacker, DD Satin Edge with the clear acrylic scales, Dovo Bismarck and/or Bergischer Lowe
Sheffield: I don't yet own any Sheffield, but plan on treating myself to a big smiling W&B or Joseph Rodgers wedge when I can.
Spanish: At least one Fili DT 14, EPBD, or similar to go with my Fili DT 12
Throw in a few nice American, Swiss, Japanese, and Russian blades, too. Eventually I'd like to have a cabinet where each row is a country with some excellent defining examples.
Meanwhile I've got one son in private school, and one about to start college. Welcome back to the real world...On the plus side, both sons wet-shave (one with a str8, one with DE's).There are many roads to sharp.

I was able to get the two things I wanted most in a razor. Damascus Steel and Ivory Scales.
