Yes, carazor, the Wackers are impressive razors and I am sure they will make an impressive seven-day set. I also have the hollow 6/8" in cream color plastic scales and Spanish point, as well as the 6/8" 1st Edition Sheffield steel model with a barber's notch point and in horn scales. I love them all.

Carazor, I'm still remembering Holli's statement to me: "If you buy a Wacker, you'll buy more." He was SO right. My 6th one is on it's way, and its the Keilschliff. The 1/4 grind spanish point was my 3rd razor & first heavy grind. It was a game changer. As a struggling noob, it just made the shave a wonderful event in the day. I was surprised somewhat at Jimmy's review of the 2 razor set. He liked the wedge a bit better, and neither of us is particularly fond of round points. Ever since reading that, I've wondered about the Keilschliff and I'll find out the middle of next week. 'Can't wait.

That Obie! 'Figures he had a few Wackers in the stable. It wouldn't be possible to have that good a taste in suds and not have a Wacker or two in the drawer.

I can't compare until next wk, but I will say the 1/4 grind is my best natural shaver. 'Just feels right in the hand and on the face.

3 shaves w/ the Keilschliff, and its clearly a landmark blade for me. The 1/4 grind spanish point was my first landmark. I've tried 9 Sheffield heavy blades, and they're beautiful and quality made, but perhaps like the honorable Glen, my face just doesn't go well w/ Sheffields. The only wedge I've tried that compares w/ the Keilschliff is a Hellberge - swedish blade. My experience is considerably less than many others - I've only tried between 2-300 blades. The current rotation is about 24. If I had to rescue only 3 razors, this would be one, the 1/4 grind would be another, the Williams 1/4 grind would be the 3rd. Noting that these are all heavier grinds is instructive for me. My favs being heavy and extra hollow. Regular full hollows are wonderful, but also like navels - everyone has at least one - and likely a dozen or so. Because they're so available, its hard to part with Wacker sized funds for them, though I am working on a Revisor. If revisor ever made any heavier grinds, that would be something to behold.

This morning I got a perfect BBS shave with this beauty and SRD Blood Orange Soap. This one is rising quickly to the top of my 7 day team! Top row, middle razor.

I plan to finish all my razors next week with a new JNat and will redo my rankings!
I think this is my next purchase )
