Kriegar?
Anyone had experience with these? I usually avoid el cheapo ebayo but I'm gonna send my razor off to Onimaru in a few weeks and I need a backup. Worth it?

Thanked: 2591Unfortunately it is rarely possible to get a brand new quality razor for a few dollars, it just does not work this way.
The Wiki has a very nice database of razors that are to be avoided:
Brands of Straight Razors to avoid - Straight Razor Place Wiki
also a pretty good database (incomplete) of good razor brands:
Good Straight Razor Brands - Straight Razor Place Wiki
I would advise to look up the wiki it has a lot of information on the straight razor hobby.
Also before you buy something you can always ask here what people think of it as far as quality condition etc.
Have fun.Stefan

Check out Taylors1000 on eBay. He sells good blades that can be had for a great price.
They'll need honing as he doesn't do that part but they're good quality steel and he's a very honest seller.

Thanked: 94What part of Horse-trailer are you in?
If you're in Brisvegas I could organise a loan of one of mine.
You can get quality vintage blades on ebay or the trading post for not much more than a Kreigar, but anything at that price will need a bit of restoration and honing unless you are exceedingly lucky.
