What's pictured there is an ingrown hair machine. I stick to straights and DE's (the giddy-up razor) and almost never have to deal with ingrowns.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

Need a quick shave. Get faster with the straight
I can now do a acceptable shave with mine in about 5 minute. So I've sworn never to touch one of those things again.

Never again Mack 3-4 or 8 will touch my face. Only straight razor.

I only give myself about 30-40 minutes between waking up and leaving for work, in the morning. If I feel too tired or are in a hurry I just don't shave, and look forward to shaving off a heavier beard the next morning!

I shave in the evening when I have time to enjoy the shave. My shaves are close enough to go through the whole next day w/o looking like I need a shave. Maybe my beard just grows slow but I enjoy the evening shaves much more than an early morning shave.

I've started shaving in the evening so I can relax and enjoy it. There's no way I'd use a Mach 3 or any other multi bladed monstrosity.

For the times when I'm in a rush I have my DE.

I'll leave straights, when my hands shake so much, that I can no longer hold one.

There's no shame in using your last type of razor as you transition over to a straight, but there's no sense in sinking that kind of money into it.

I'm with Hirlau. That day will come, someday, and I'll morph into an old man with shaky hands and a big white Don't Make Me Smite You beard.

Occasionally I use a Fusion I was given as a Christmas present. Yes they are over prices, cause ingrowns and irritation but if time is that short and I just want a 1 pass quick fizz round then I can become "presentable" in about 1 minute in the shower, face lathering with a cheap soap and a boar brush. So long as I don't do it regularly I'm OK.
    Regards
    Nic
