I've been using it for three months and haven't noticed any evaporation. I just went to the drug store and bought a bottle of oil labeled mineral oil. I didn't know there were different types. I did so because I read a few threads and mineral oil seemed to be what most used. I wish i knew about Camilla oil though because I'd prefer a plant based oil over mineral oil any day so long as it doesn't go rancid easily.

You can get the Camillia oil from Straight Razor Designs. It's what they use on blades after they hone them. It works very well but I don't know how it would work in your invention. Good idea just the same.Food grade mineral oil is what you use on wooden utensils and wooden salad bowls. Regular mineral oil is not consumable . But I have never looked into using mineral oil on blades as I just gravitated towards the Camillia so I don't know much about it in terms of blade care.

This definitely looks cooler than the liquid soap dispenser I've been using.

    I like it!

think i might do something similar to this, as i normally apply a small drop of baby oil to a paper towel or normal towel, and apply that way. however i have also managed to take the edge off a towel or two before now lol.

i gave up applying oil with my fingers after almost taking my fingerprints off on more than one occasion haha.

You win the award for "best way to display an old sock on SWMBO's bathroom counter".

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

I like simple, roll of cotton gauge saturated with Mineral oil in a tub (sealable lid) swipe/swipe/wipe/done.
