Default OLIVE OIL POST-SHAVE RAZOR MAINTENANCE

.....since i live in the land of olive oil (where it is plentiful and somewhat inexpensive).....

...... would it be OK to lightly coat my razor with olive oil after shaving instead of using mineral oil, or using those silicone treated sleeve??

Olive oil isn't recommended, use mineral oils.
Even baby oil is better, regular sewing machine oil as well.

Baby oil is scented mineral oil, for razor maintenance food oils are not recommended because they can become rancid and thus are unsafe.
Ballistol, camelia oil, food grade mineral oils will work fine.
