This thread brings back BAD memories!!! I learned from a barber in 1969 and he tought me well as I never cut myself. ( small nicks don't count ) Well, in about 1984-5 I had a barber friend who cut my hair every two weeks, but we also hunted and fished togather. Well, one day, a Saturday morning, I went in for my hair cut and he said he had just bought a new razor. It was a NOS C-Mon and he had already honed it and the razor was ready to go.
He offered a free shave and I said sure. Fred was a jumpy kind of fellow and kind of rushed through the hot towels and final lather as he was eager to try his new razor. Everything went fine with the WTG on both sides, but when he got to the right side of my upper lip, another friend burst through the door, startled Fred, and that new C-Mon bit very deep into my upper lip. He took forever to stop the blood and offered to pay the bill for stitches. (it needed at least three, maybe more) I said no and that was a mistake. To this day I carry the scar. Fred and I live 1800 miles apart now , but when we talk on the phone we always laugh about that "Black Saturday". I have not cut "myself" ever, and I hope I never do. Best Regards and Happy Shaving, wildhog
