Best method to applying oil to the razor
I've realized very quickly that a light coating of oil on the blade is vital to keep things from getting rusty. Just wondering what the SOP is to apply it evenly across the blade. I've been dripping a few drops on the blade and then smearing it across with a light terry cloth towel but the towel soaks up a lot.
I'm sure the answer is obvious but I'm not guessing it.
ideas please?

I normally don't use any oil, the climate here allows for this.
However, when I do apply oil, I drop a couple drops on it and smear it out with a finger.
To remove before next shave, I use a paper tissue.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I use a pice of old t shirt dipped in oil, I keep this tiny rag in an old pill bottle.

Light oil does not rinse off 100% so I never feel
obligated to oil after each shave.
You can use a Q-tip (cotton bud).
Cut it in half since you only need one
end.
A couple of extra drop of oil in the bottom
of a pill bottle might last a month with the
same Q-tip.
I use a single or half a sheet of bathroom tissue.
to wipe it if needed.
