    Hello

from what I see it's a "recent" regrind of an old razor from the 1830, it could have been made in de 1920-1930...the nose was mabye also modified, in order too make a spike point very fashonnable design in the 1920-1930.

    Regards

I think it dates to around 1800 . Looks to be re-ground .

Well looks like she was reground about her 100th birthday then im guessing it would have started out as a wedge. It seems to fit the scales well so i dont think to much was taken off the front ,havent honed and shaved with it yet im hoping the regrind wont effect the blades ability to hold an edge.At the end of the day im very happy to have a stub tail closing in on 200 years old.

From what I've read , it was common to regrind wedge blades . This work was done by professionals , who did it everyday . I think your razor should be fine , for honing , and shaving .
