I am going to be contrarian and say that I actually think they are cool.
If I was bill gates rich, and still using a cartridge style razor, I would buy one.
Not because I think they are better, but because I like rare metals.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Well I wouldn't want one even if I was 'Bill Gates rich' ..... but ..... wouldn't it be cool if they had made a straight razor out of that material ? Thank God they didn't ! I'd be lusting for it day and night .

So I'm just curious why sapphire and not diamond. That is if that were possible, I mean if you're going to do it go all the way! When I win the lottery I tell you guys what, I'll buy one then send it throughout the SRP community to share and we can all review it.
On a side note if it's weight is anything like titanium a straight would be pretty cool. Probably even lighter so than what we are accustom to.
