    Sheffield=city in England where many great straights were made

    England=name of country

    A wedge of that size is phenomenal. The feeling is great. I have a delicate skin and this blade runs very sweet, however, giving a good depth of shaving.

    What's the difference between "made in Sheffield" and "made in England" in history of W&B ?

    Generally speaking, yes to your statement.

    However, if an item was manufactured NOT for export, then it may not have had the country of origin included in the markings.

    I have a razor made in Glasgow from a company that was in razor business from the 1920's to the 1940's (or so I've been informed).

    Note, no country mentioned in the stamp.

    Arthur Allen Glasgow was also a maker of high end firearms.

    J Dobie was a ship builder and breaker as well.
