Default Does anyone recognize this etching? W&B

I picked this up for a few bucks at a flea market. Love it! It's over 7/8. Black horn scales are in almost perfect condition. BUT.

I cant read the etching and I think that no matter how hard I try I'm going to lose most of it to get all the rust off. Just curious if anyone knows what it actually says?

Sorry for the pics.. Best I could at the moment.

    Thanks
    Bruce

If it was mine I would hit it lightly with some 0000 steel wool with oil followed by a good metal polish .... applied with a paper towel and call it good. I'd rather have a little patina/pitting than a polished up steel thing with the original etching lost. YMMV. Nice razor.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

If you find a similar etching and talk to Phil Dobson he may be able to etch it again.
