    it specifically said straight razor on the list of items being brought into the country, I thought it was weird that it would be on there.

    I just traveled to Europe. I flew into Munich Germany and flew out of Paris France. I just packed them in my checked bag and didn't have any troubles.

    If you're flying within the US, you're fine. Heck, I often travel with firearms and never have a problem...though I do have to declare them. Not so for a knife or razor.

    I carried a couple from Canada to the US and then to Australia and don't recall being asked to to declare them - that being said, I did treat the trip as the world's largest pub crawl so I may have missed that part.
