    Default TSA?

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question but here it goes. Does anyone know the rules about bringing your straight on a flight. Obviously carry on is out of the question but can you bring your set on you checked baggage?

I have traveled with a couple of straights in my checked luggage with no problems so far. I just roll them up in sock and placed them in my spare pair of shoes.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

I also travel with my gear and have not had any problems. Make sure to pack everything safely and put it into your check in bag. You'll be fine.

Pocket knives and razors are acceptable in your checked luggage. I have never had a problem.

Thanks guys I was worried I was going to have to mail them a few days before I left. I'm planing on visiting a friend in phoenix and wanted to bring him one as a gift which would've kinda ruined the surprise.

Yes I am in china right now and brought 5 straights with me in my checked baggage along with my norton 4/8 stone and some other stuff so I would have something to do in the hotel room for these two weeks.

They also made it through the screening for the bullet train. I did get nervous about that.

Y have to claim them when you fill out your paper work for internal travel.

Which country are you referring to I have taken mine to Italy and now china this year, there is no paper work asking about straight razors.. Only on the return trip back to the US do they ask about meat/cheese type products. I have never been asked to fill out a customs report or even go through customs(baggage check) when entering foreign countries... Only when returning. To the US

Was it because they considered it a knife? Did they say anything specific about it?
