    Sharps,
Good to hear you got what you should have originally! Happy shavings!

I have a 6/8 in blond horn. Scales are dead perfect! But it has the widest bevel I have ever seen on a new razor. Still it shaves wonderfully!

I would send it back. I would bet that you will get satisfaction and this time the vendor will probably personally look at the razor before sending it out. Sending back a razor is a pain because of the wait time but if you are not happy now, it will only get worse for you.

    Take Care,
    Richard

I hesitate to write, not knowing what is perceived as vendor bashing. It seems important to me for the betterment of the industry that constructive feedback - positive and negative - gets out. It improves the quality for all of us.

I have 6 wackers, and love them. 3 of them have flaws, one with the scale misalignment you mention. Yeah, it bugs me. If I ever sell them, how can I do anything but take a lower price - can't represent them as first quality. The shaves are still great, but these flaws need to be addressed by makers.

The most extreme quality spreads have been w/ another maker, where I've honed 1 that had 2 sections of collapsed edge. The damaged sections had the appearance of pourosity in the metal. The edge cleaned up and gave a great (not just good) shave, and I ordered the same model for myself. It arrived w/ the heel sticking up almost 1/16" off the surface of a stone. The inside edges of the scales were chipped. The maker said to send it back to confirm or validate my complaint. That was last September. They claim not to have received the razor.

That the seller took good care of you is about the best advertising I can imagine. 'Just makes me happy to hear, and makes me want to buy from that seller.

I think this Vender is first class.Everybody has there own view on what they think is good is what is not. They did not even wait for me to send the old razor back before over nighting a new razor to me on there dime. They also sent a return label to ship the old one back at there cost. The razor they sent was pefect and shaves like you wouldnt believe. There customer service is great and I will contiue to do bussiness with them along with the other great venders out there. My hats off to them on how they run a bussiness.
    Thanks
