Come into work and this is waiting for me in a small box (Scans after work, I am too busy to scan them here) I was told that the search is still on for more, but this is what was found this weekend:
Joseph Rodgers & Sons 6/8 Old English Razor (Faux Tort. Shell Scales)
Torrey 5/8
Morely & Sons 5/8
A snub tail (broken edge, likely not restore quality, but you never know) - no name that I can see.
Joseph Rodgers & Sons 5/8
NEXT Razor 5/8
& an unmarked 6/8 short tailed razor, no markings.

That is awesome! Congratulations on that gift. A friend of mine passed along a Dubl Duck Wonderedge that he has not used for a quite a while. It sat in his gun safe for over a decade. It felt great to be given one, I can only imagine 8(?)!
Good Karma to you sir and I can hardly wait to see the pics of your new onturage of razors. Have fun.

Sorry to hear about your cousin. What a great gift. That W&B is a beauty, One thing I find intriguing is that these old fellows seemede to gravitate to Sheffield steel. Are you in the UK ? If they were here on this, USA, side of the pond it is interesting that they weren't predominantly using Solingen full hollows. Maybe they go back before the German steel took over the market.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 30I am consulting some contest "Specialists" for opinions.
I would really like to see these razors cleaned up and dressed nice. I will make a post in the Workshop listing the razors I give away, the new owners can post their pics in there to show off the work they have done. I come across razors often at the auction and I have a couple hundred that I wouldnt mind giving away to people who are willing to do the restorations. Its not like I am finding W&B Choppers and Heljestrand MK32s all over the place, but I dont have the time or skill for many. I have seen much work from members in the workshop, and there are people that blow my mind with what they can do.
