Thanked: 30Good Morning Surprise - Wade & Butcher
A co-worker and I were talking about razors after she saw some of mine in my pictures folder at work. She mentioned that her frather and grandfather owned a barber shop in our area -- mind that she is likely in her late 50s- mid 60's -- the shop was around a long time ago up to a few years ago.
So we got to chatting and she said that there are still plenty of razors in the storage and attic from when they emptied the shop. She brought this one to me as a gift (she wouldnt let me offer anything for it aside from good conversation). I am very happy since I am a fan of Sheffield razors.
6/8 Celebrated Medium Sized Hollow Ground Wade & Butcher. This razor will clean up nicely and should shave excellently.

Nice! A great gift. I wonder what else she has?

Thanked: 30she said "a few dozen more razors. most are like this one" - "I will have them out of storage for you after this weekend."
I offered to buy the remaining razors that she can locate, I told her the truth that some razors can be expensive and that its all relative to condition and makers. She understands and appreciates the honesty, but I can have them for free regardless of how many or what kinds. She just wants them gone. --- SO now I sit here daydreaming as my RAD is climbing to all time highs. I intend on buying her a gift card of some sort. She just doesnt know it yet.

You have handled it graciously and buying her a gift is the correct response.
Also, if you need help handling the restoration and storage of some those "few dozen" razors, I humbly submit my den as a top-notch storage facility.

Thanked: 30I try to be as gentlemanly as possible. I am usually an angry type person, but I am determined to be nicer and happier all around in 2012 - so far Karma is working. I have been nicer and nicer things seem to be happening often in the first month of the New Year - more importantly I feel better in general.
