Thanked: 522Favorite Razor Poll
Every so often, someone will call for a poll of "what is your favorite razor" or best razor etc. I will invariably post that my favorite razors are
Revisor
Puma
Filarmonica.
After 45 years of str8 shaving, I now have to narrow that choice down to one brand of razor.
Definitely PUMA. I just got finished honing a Puma 75 and got THEEEEEE best shave of my life.
I did the standard 4k/8k/12k/Suita/Nakayama/Escher/English Bridle progression and WOW!! Absolutely like butter smooth............
I wish everyone could experience either on purpose or by accident the shave I just had moments ago.
Unbelievably butter smooth is the only way to describe it.
Next razor poll, you can expect a one-word answer from this corner.......... JerryJERRY
OOOPS! Pass the styptic please.

I don't have a great breadth of experience, but I have managed to collect a nice variety of about 25 razors. There are many that give a really satisfying shave, but I would have to say that my absolute favorite is my Kropp 6/8 round. Not only is it a wonderful shaver, its nice thick shank and course-cut jimps make it a real pleasure to strop, too.

Thanked: 247My favorite is the one my grandma gave me. It's a Seikirazor, Japanese western Extra hollow ground.
My best shaver is the one somebody else sharpened. Larry Andro
My favorite to look at is a For Barber's Use Sheffield 9/8...I don't even plan on honing it. lol.
But, someday I hope I can narrow it down too. I'd like to have one razor to rule them all...but not yet. Congrats Jerry!
