    Default My newest addition.

I just received this in the mail today. Purchased off ebay. I can't wait to hone this up an shave with it. It is a Double Duck No.1, and with little hone wear.

The razor is darker on the tang and the shank. Is this just patina, or is this a DD thing? Or did a previous owner only sand the rest of the blade?

The DD special No. 1 came with a blued tang originally!! I sent mind to Glen to get re-blued bc it was in great condition sans the blueing!!! Nice find!!

Yup that DD has years of life left in her. I'll also advocate to have the spine and tang re-blued

'Known great shaver, Victor. I still keep & use one I found w/ trashed scales. 'Became the first scale project, and you'll find it hones up very nicely & you'll get great extra hollow performance.
