What do you base this assertion on, price alone or experience?

FYI - gssixgun classified Friodurs into three distinct groups. The razors that John Crowley sells are NOS, or "second generation". It's the third group, the so-called new Friodurs (aka "thrid generation") that have the least favourable reputation out of all of them. The Shaving Shop razors take of bit of effort to get dialled in, but once they are honed they are fine shavers. Price point has absolutely nothing to do with quality, in fact the cost is pretty much in line with 8/8 models made by both Wacker and Revisor. In fact it was reputed that Heribert Wacker himself was the mysterious razorsmith who ground these blanks.

All I'm saying is don't knock them until you try them....
