Thread: J.R Torrey questions

Was looking at this razor today. I was thinking of acquiring this Torrey but the rust spots at the blade edge are very worrisom. Think it can be saved or is this one a goner? I also came across a really nice Beau Brummell but how do the two compare?

The beau, those pits on the torrey are to close to the edge

Depends whether they are the old ones or the newer ones. The ones with the DD connection have the address of DD on the neck of the razor.

I'd be careful with that torry. You might have to do a lot of work depending on how deep the rust is.

It's hard to compare the two razors because they are very different animals.
