Default Some left this orphan at my door

I found this when I got home today. I bought it as new. It doesn't seem to have been used. I'm a little disappointed that the scales have a split at one rivet. Oh well.

The package says it was hand honed at the factory. Might be true. It definitely passed the HHT. I'll try it tomorrow. If not, I will break out the Nortons.

    I meant to say "Someone".

My brain is fried after work today.

As a general rule, any razor made by Case will be a fine shaver. Best, John

As I reported there was a split in the scales at the bottom rivet. I told this to the seller. He apologized and immediately sent another New razor to me and _then_ asked if I had sent the other one back. This one arrived yesterday and I shaved with it this morning. The shave was very nice. I may try to improve on the edge soon, but for now I will leave it alone. This is my only _new_ razor and I am a little hesitant to mess with the edge. It is a factory honing, not aftermarket. So the edge is 50 years old but can pass HHT.

These scales were clear yellow instead of clear.

I bought a large Decal for my car. I told the seller that I had messed up on one small part of it and asked him if he would sell me that one part or maybe the whole side. He made the part, sent it to me, for FREE and refused to let me pay anything at all. He told me that I was good advertising for his company. I would post a picture of the car but it probably doesn't belong in this section of the Forum.

I have only had problems with ONE Ebay seller and that was several years ago. IMO if you pay attention to the sellers rating, you will find Ebay and Paypal a painless experience.

I'd like to see pics of the new one too. I just took delivery of a NOS Temperite also, they make for great shavers.

Here is the replacement. I chose this shot because it best shows the yellow scales compared the the ones above. If you look close at the top shot you can see the split on the left.

I actually liked the completely clear better, but I couldn't complain again without feeling like a total ass. $65

I like both the clear and the yellow. One thing is for sure; they make for some serious shavers. I have one with the yellow scales.

    Did yours need any honing?

The factory edge seemed to be pretty good but there was a micro chip in it that needed to be taken out. So, yes I did hone it. If it didn't have that I would have tried the factory edge.
