Looks like a wostenholm pipe with bone scales that i would wager are replacements. the pins just appear odd and the blade is falling through the bottom... rather unsafe and you might want to address that before honing it. fingers are expensive, scales are not.
Be just and fear not.

Wait for manah to take a look at it. IIRC there was another maker back then with a similar marque besides Wostenholme.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

SpreadSpectrum, welcome to SRP.
The Wostenholm pipe was apparently in use for a very long time (1694 I've read).
The Pipe trademark was used since 1694. Wostenholm company acquired the Pipe trademark from William Hutchinson only(!) in 1843.
So. The earliest Wostenholm pipe razors could be made in 1843.
Try to clean the razor stamp. Most likely, it's the similar razor:

I'll clean it some and post some more pictures later. What's the best way to clean active rust from the inside of a mark like that?
Oh, and I didn't mean to imply that Wostenholm used the pipe starting in 1694, only that the pipe they used has been around that long.

Okay, I finally got this de-pinned and cleaned up the mark a bit. It looks like it could be a stylized 'MB'. Does that mean anything to anyone?
