Thread: Hollow ground reccomendation

First thing that comes to mind to me is to go up a size. Try a 6/8 or larger.

Hollow grounds can be found in many variations from full to quarter hollow. It sounds like you'd be happier with a quarter hollow.

I would say put your Imp away somewhere safe and wait to see what you like down the road. Chances are the reason you don't like it has more to do with your shave technique than the razor or your beard.

Oh so true!!! Also may be the hone of the blade. Personally a hollow ground shaves every bit as good as a wedge for me and as Lynn and BOB Allman called it I have "gorilla hair". I'd be willing to bet $$ that either or both may be the factors here.

People with Hart razors report that they are quite heavy, and very, very sharp. They're expensive, but not worse than a high-end TI. I think they're about 1/4-hollow. Try here:
