Hey friend. I'm a noob too, but for what it's worth, the senior members and many others recommended a Dovo 5/8, or 6/8 if you have meaty hands, Best Quality full hollow. I got the 6/8. I don't have anything to compare it too, but I got it from Straight Razor Designs so it came shave ready which is very important! I dig it so far. I'm only 5 or 6 shaves in, and it's serving me well. Welcome, and you've come to the right place. The seniors know their stuff, so ask questions. Everyone here is awesome!

Hi and welcome to SRP!
Good advice from RNMike, a Dovo Best in 5/8 or 6/8 is a safe bet at a reasonable fee.
I got my first razor from SRD as well, a perfect start to this adventure for me.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 275The Dovo "Best Quality" -- new, 5/8 or 6/8, round point, honed by Straight Razor Designs -- is a fine choice.
Or check the "classifieds" here for vintage blades. A 100-year-old razor shaves just a well as a new one.

My recommendation is buy a vintage piece from the classifieds where it specifies the razor will come shave ready.

Is there big diffrence in price and quality?

Welcome to SRP. A new Dovo or a vintage razor from SRP's classifieds will both give good shaves if they come to you honed properly. As you are in Norway (Europe) it may be best if you purchased a razor from Europe to avoid delays and extra taxed. There are numerous SRP members from Europe. Try posting in this forum: Nordic region and/or drop a PM to Otto, one of our moderators for assistance in finding a local to you source for a straight razor. Good luck.
