What do I have here??
I was out at some antique stores today and came home with two razors. I only paid $5 for them but I don't know what they are. The first is a Wade & Butcher Sheffield. The second is a Gillette DE. I don't know much about them but I couldn't pass them up.
The Straight razor is a Sheffield, not a Sheffield England. There is not a pin at the end of the scales it is all one piece.
The DE is a Gillette with an N stamp on the bottom I was told meant that it was made in the 1960's.

I'm no expert but it's pretty certaint they were well worth your money!

Lovely scales on that Wade & Butcher, get it sharp and you'll have a good shaver. Don't know about the Gilette but for five bucks, you made out like a bandit. Good one.

When I was looking the Wade was in a display case and the Gillette was hidden in a box. The lady didn't even know she had it! I got to haggling with her and she broke down and we settled on $5. lol
