It is VERY use-able...just not for shaving.

Those scales would look great on another razor, and that blade could be used as a tool (i.e. opening letters, scraping tape/paint off windows, etc...), or to test out how a blade would react if honed or worked on a certain way (if you are not sure how a certain grit sand paper would work, try it on that blade first!).

While perhaps not a great shaver, I think it would make a great test subject!

Wouldn't be great if these companies that are kicking out these 'look alike' razors, would just concentrate on selling the scales, which HAVE gotten better with time! it's just that they do not want to spend the time and money producing quality steel. Fine, then sell us the scales for $5 a set!

    Oh well.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. That's a fine looking razor and it will shave. Remember that the earliest barbers used clam shells and brass cutting tools to shave. We've become a generation of complete wimps. Clam shells aren't good enough. Here you got a razor made of metal, but that's not good enough. It will shave but that's not good enough. You also want to shave comfortable, close and with minimal blood letting. Bunch of wussies.

You know Robert, You are right!

Hm. Do you think you could make me a clamshell razor with mother of pearl scales? Wait. That's redundant. Could you make the scales razors too then?

HEY, I see a Mock3 razor thing forming....

The 3 razor clamshell! The scales can double as blades too!

Alright, I'm even tired of this now.....I have a head ache

Now you have this razor, you should keep it in your collection to pad it out. Then when you want to buy something expensive in future like a Maestro you just take this one out of the box and replace it with the new razor. That way the razor count doesn't appear to increase and you avoid the wrath of the angry partner.

"have you been buying razors again?!"

"of course not dear, see there are only 7 in the box just as always"

Iwan has obviously been giving this situation some thought already! The only snag is that you have to keep your SO from reading the forum.
