Default 'Master' razors - Anyone heard of them?

I've bought a Master razor off ebay. It is NIB.
I bought it without really knowing anything about it

    Anyone know anything about them?
I was thinking of sending it to one of the honemeisters to get it shave ready, but if its made from poor steel, I wont bother!

I hate to tell you this, but these razors are definitely junk. I send them back whenever someone sends me one for honing.

Thanks Lynn - I kind of figures as much! I bought it before I found this place and knew any better

Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the one from Joe!

You should keep it for use on restoration experiments.

You're right, it at least /looks/ like a decent razor. Too bad that it's useless.

Effigy, if you need help, I started a whole thread on what you can do with Pakistani razors (or craptacular razors in general). There were some interesting suggestions!

Do ya have to tell it like it is? Can't you see that I'm still hurting over this

You're right. How could I forget my lawyerly training. "Sir, I am afraid that while your razor is good for the purpose for which warranted, we regret that it will possibily not fulfill your ostensible wishes to the maximal extent. Any alleged defect with the razor, however, is attributable to user error."
