    Default Reshaping old scales

I finally got my Red Imp today. Unfortunately, the guy I got it off of neglected to tell me that the toe is worn and the scales are severely warped. The toe is a matter to be dealt with later, the scales are a different matter. You may not be able to tell from the pictures but these scales are bent and warped in a rather severe 'S' shape. Both of them. Also, the edges of them look almost melted. I am looking for advice on how I could fix these scales?

I highly reccomend the Steam Method on those,, and use the gentle over the pot of water method, not the Shot-o-Steam iron those Impy scales are notoriously fragile..

One thing I have done that works most of the time (will need to be totally unpinned) is to use a hotplate set at 150 degs.
lay the scales on it,than put a 5 lb bag of lead shot on top of them. You could most likely do the same with a cast iron pan in the oven, let then set for a few hrs,has worked well in the past.
