    6/8 = 12/16...so 1/16 bigger

It depends.... It sounds likei it is a 7/8 or 8/8 that had a chip in it that was honed out? 13/16 is not a usual size. Got a picture?

any size you are comfortable with is a good size to use there really is not that much difference between the 6/8 and 13/16.... so you should be fine.

I certianly don't see any problem why you couldn't use the 13/16. As long as you feel you have control of the blade. Just a matter of personal preference.

Both of those appear to be the same razor. Neither of them are "vintage". Both are made in China.

Without trying to start a storm, I will say that most of the stuff I've seen from China has been less than satisfactory for its designed use.

That being said, there are literally TONS of old razors out there with a lot of life left in them that can be had for the same money.

My suggestion is to see if you can find some locally, get pictures if you can, post them here and see what the members think.

There are several knowledgeable gents in the UK that may be able to assist you in your search as well.

If you can shave with one of those you will be one of the first! I don 't thonk thoses have good enough steel to qualify as razors.
