new straight razor I bought today!
Bought this today at a flea market! can any one help me out and maybe tell me some more about it? there is a piece missing in bottom of the scale. but the cutting edge is great no chips or cracks! and it feels like to me that the scale are made of some kind of bone/horn???

Thanked: 13245Wade & Butcher and they are Horn but pretty dried out..
Not sure but something about the look of the grind makes me think this might have been re-ground into a Hollow, many of the older near wedges were around the 1900's

And i have really really got into collecting straight blades. what are some rare and unique things to look for when buy a straight blade? O and i really like the boker and wade and butcher!

Those are two very highly regarded brands you are after, make sure you browse this forum in the "Razor Clubs" section there is the Boker Brotherhood and the Butcher Shop they are full of pics and info about these two brands of razors
