danb,
Life is a swarm of good memories, those not so good, triumphs and accomplishments — and regrets.
To my strong regret, I have sold several razors that I wish I had kept. My regret is even stronger, since I really did not have to sells them. I think about them from time to time and then accept my action as part of life. So it is.
If you need to sell this razor, then accept it and move on. Now and then you will regret your decision, but then you'll admit that you had your reasons and that they were good ones.

Very well said Obie! Things are things and we sometimes grow fawn of them. We can't take them with us when we die. The only things we take with us is our relationships with others. And that for me put "things" in perspective.

How true...As my late mother-in-law was fond of saying, "Nobody's hearse has ever been followed to the cemetery by a Brinks armored car."
Nor has anybody's hearse ever been followed to the cemetery by a moving van.
Straight razors come and go. What you consider the favorite razor you just can't part with today will be replaced by another favorite in the future.
An education is forever.

Lucky for you that razor is still available. When times are better you can still buy a new one with a fresh edge by Lynn. Try that with a rusty old warped scaled worm eaten vintage blade and you will not be so lucky. I miss some of my old beaters but have found suitable replacements. I am sure you can do the same.
