Got this the other day wade and butcher. possibly new old stock???

Not an expert but possible NOS. I remember W&B was made till late `50.

I would have no idea if it would be "NOS" but it certainly is a very nice W&B and will make a superb shaver. Congratulations
on your find. I have not seen that box before but I would imagine there are some folks here who probably have seen it or have one like it.

Nice razor. I would wonder whether that is the original box or not - W&B had/have a model called the 'Special' that (obviously) has 'Special' etched on the blade. Hmm, not much of an issue though. Enjoy!

now I am wondering because I have a W&B special and it has special on the blade and it has the same box but gold!?!

Thanked: 884Don't know for sure about razors, but a lot of pocket knife "salesman samples" often had numbers written on the blades similar to the numbers written on you WAY COOL W&B.
Fancy box and sleeve just might indicate that razor could have been a salesman's sample that he used to show potential buyers and the number on the blade was what he would use to write his order.
