If the gold comes off from just alcohol, than you can't do too much to save it. If you tape it, maybe the tape will get off some of the gold, but if you don't, than the letters on the spine will get scratched from honing, at least if you are not very careful when turning the razor on the end of strokes. I would tape it, if that removes the gold, than a few uses and wiping off water and lather will remove it anyway with time.

RAD never ends, as long as you live

There's some many good razors out there that need and deserve good homes. Helping one or two or three or.... Find a good home where that just won't turn into a pile of rust is a good/kind/right thing to do. They ask so little for the happiness that they give.

(or was that a kitten, oh well...)

I will always have rad to some level.but lucky i just don't care for buying knives.must of my knife collection is a direct result of buying stones.and vintage razors.Laws are weird though i cann't walk around with a pocket knifethat's longer then the palm of my hand.lucky i have big hands haha.laws are so weird.I think it's cause i couldn't pass up a deal on stuff i would wantthat's at a price that it's a steal.
