My RAD is over!
Hello good people! My RAD is over,
I found what I always want to have in regards straight razors… 7 day set. Now I have fulfilled my destiny J
Here it is purchased today 7 day set Garantie Solingen. I think it is just an generic name. I think this is also gold wash on the blade. However during cleaning (used paper tissue and Isopropyl Alcohol 91) some of gold was wipe off. I have two or maybe three blades with microchip. BTW it is NOS set and looks like all blades are OK. Now since my RAD is gone I can focus on honing of this set, however I`m afraid to start. I think when I use tape all gold will be gone pretty soon. Here are few pictures of the set.

Nice catch!
Garantie was the maker, they produced tons of razors (and in my experience often very good ones). They made them in many other names too and on commission for others as well... Re curing RAD, well, now you need 3-4 new 7-day sets, so you can have one for each week of the month

Nice find! If some gold wash came off wiping them w/ alcohol I wouldn't use tape when honing them.

That's a very nice set. You're kidding yourself if you think it's going to cure RAD though.

RAD isn't cured. It just goes into remission and comes back later in life as Shingles.

Very fine looking razors for sure! If you are cured of RAD you might be the only known survivor of this plague.

The only cure for RAD is death which reminds me of what My friend Mr. L says about when he gets Straight Shavers who have been naughty during their lives. He says has a special place for them-har har.
