    How do you know the term Spanish Point refers to Spain? Maybe the first guy who made one lived on Spain Avenue and it was named for that?

    Why French?
    May be Irish point.
    From "The Barbers Manual" by A.B. Moler, Edition 1924:



    So. It's very difficult to find the origin of all these Points/Notch now.
    I've never seen the name "Spanish Point" in old barbers books or catalogs.

    Thanks for posting this article Manah.
    Living in Spain and not seeing one locally made Spanish point razor has been very exasperating.
    Irish point I had heard of, but a Dutch point?
    Are there razors out there that were manufactured in Holland?
