So you measure by the 1/8 inch.. 3/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 8/8..... If you already knew that, please don't be offended... I shaved for a long time with straights and never knew what folks were talking about when they talked about "size".. I never cared about the width before I started looking at this site. I just knew there were wide ones and narrow ones..

Thanked: 1587Yeah, by my reckoning that is a 27/32th at the heel and around 63/64ths at the toe. Plus or minus 2/8ths.
James.

If we guess right can the winner have the razor?
I'm going with 8/8" at the toe and 7/8" at the heel

If im looking at an ebay auction and there isnt much detail listed sometimes I will scale the razor according to the pin (depending on the photos angle it may or may not be possible)
Id call that 15/16, but thats still a guess at best.

Also worth noting the scales are not original, and have been transplanted from a likely larger donor. Not many razors out there much larger than 8/8 (of course there are, were just not lucky enough to find on the bay)
