    A very nice find!
    I have a couple of Elliots in Silver Steel, it won't get easily more shiny than that... for some reason rust stains on Silver Steel seem to be impossible to clean. At least, I don't know how. I also tried with silver cleaning products, and it was worse than before...

    P.S. If anybody knows how to make an old rusty SS shiny, I would be very thankful to know how...

    If you have a magnifying glass of at least x15 or x20 to study the metal at close range you will see what the real problem is.
    Often what looks like patina is really micro-pitting, in which case you will need something slightly more aggressive than just polishing.
    I am constantly amazed at what I find that is not apparent to the naked eye :
