Do the points on the spines make stropping a problem?

To be honest I have not done anything with these yet. these are for display only.but if I change my mind I dont think stopping would be a big problem if I put some electrical tape over the spine.

I've gotta ask, how did you find these?

I actuall just found a 1056, but your find was much nicer, besides just being a higher end model.

Here's mine, it's been re-scaled and is a bit rusty. It was 25$, I was kind of wondering if that was a good price.

Hellow and welcome to SRP. Sorry but valuations are not allowed in the open forums on SRP. Value is subjective to the buyer, seller and the market on any given day. If you are happy with the purchase than it was a good buy. Searching EBay for completed auctions can give you an idea on what razors are going for this week. Personally, I like the razor.

Sorry about the rules faux pas, but it being a decent deal was my feeling. I ran into a lot of antique/junk dealers wanting more for
other straights that were less interesting. I was looking for DE's, but I gave all the straights a look over too. The worked spine on this one is what caught my eye, not the name or any value. The translucent scales were kind of weird, too. Now that I've looked into it a bit I think it needs restoring and re-scaling with black scales. Too bad the real ones were celluloid.
