I think I'm living in a dead zone for antique store/flea market razors. Everything I've seen here in Ottawa has either been garbage or stupidly overpriced. Ah well... time to expand the search.

Sadly here in the UK some of the shops ive been to do not sell old razors and I have to buy them from ebay, even then they go for ridiculous amounts of money including the old and battered ones and so I find its cheaper to buy from the USA or France then it is in this country.

Which reminds me: We Brits have seemed to have lost our way with shaving, the US seems to have all the coolest stuff from vintage barbers equipment to gels, lotions and balms......we are sadly lacking.

Same here. I trail around loads of antique shops, autions etc and they simply dont have any. The saddest thing is charity shops. They are everywhere near where I live and guess what they do if ever they get any?
Yep they all get collected by a recycling company and get treated as scrap metal. Absolute horror.
I have told them I will pay much more than scrap dealers, but they are not interested. "Company Policy"
What a strange country we live in

International shipping isn't "all that bad" as I have bought stuff from around the world and sold stuff around the world. Just evaluate the shipping price with the price of the product & if it's acceptable...go for it. Most shaving products in shops within 100 miles around me are overpriced or busted up or both.

Nice to see a shop have more than a couple of razors that could actually be used...thanks for sharing.

The thing that really annoys me though is that I am only 30 miles or so from Sheffield ( My passion is old Sheffields) and I really struggle to find any. I just hate the thought of all these beautiful quality razors being nothing more than scrap steel.
So So sad.
Once they are gone they are gone for ever. Such a shame!
