I've been in the official que since the summer and saw a chance to jump ahead and grabbed it. I think the order # from Robert is pretty consistent and I was probably ear marked for 160-ish.
So how do you hone your SRP custom? This question could almost be its own thread actually and should get 200 replies in time.
As you mention it's a unique blade profile with a smile and a tapered spine.
I would presume a rolling X with an end of stroke lift of the scale to keep that edge down?
Right about the number of opinions. Better not hijack the thread but yes on the rolling X however I "roll" the pressure, never actually lifting the spine - it rocks all on its own. This time I adapted the sliding "other hand" technique illustrated in Alex's Axe Method. For example: Took a bit of getting used to but it's another good technique to learn.
