Hold off on what? I don't understand.
Good thing that you sent it out to get professionally honed. You'll have a great shaver and a great baseline to judge anything that you decide to hone. Are you looking to start honing your own razors?

Not a really "Holy Grail" type of razor, this old Droesher is a super quality piece. The fact that is is an heirloom is just as important as what it is, if not more so. It will shave great when properly prepared.
Being a new shaver and sending it out for a professional cleaning and honing is a wise choice! Enjoy!Joed likes this.
