Mick, we have a group of people we Canadians call Newfies here.... They have the most bizarre and hilarious terms for EVERYTHING. I think they'd put you Aussie's to shame!
When I want to bug my mom, who happens to be German, I just call her a brown shirt and she gets pissed :P

That's a pretty big statement to make. It would be pretty hard to shame most Aussies...I don't know that we even have a sense of shame...
