Thread: Already buying a second Straight Razor lol

I got bit by the same bug! I first ordered an Edwin Jagger (which is just a dovo with a logo), and that same month ordered a Hart Steel. Loving the Hart Steel, the dovo jagger is alright too.

I've been doing this since february and have just bought my 8th razor... i try to rotate them, but what i really need now is a set of hones :L

I have been looking into getting a full wedge as well, but I need to get better hone materials. I had been borrowing honing stones from my friend, and his finishing stone is a Chinese natural 14000 grit supposedly, and either it was not lapped well enough or it will never be what it claims, but I feel it is in the low 1000s in grit so that is pretty much useless (just have to stop at 8000 now.) I was going to get a couple later stage stones but, I bought a razor instead. I think I am more addicted to the anticipation of receiving new gear, getting my strop was almost as fun as getting my razor. Maybe on the bright side I will actually know what I want for gifts when people ask now lol.
