Methinks this is a large part of your problem, as the thumbnail test is only for the bevel setting stage and will ruin a good finished edge. Before getting the lawyers involved and the accompaning trial separation, rehone both razors, STOP doing the TNT and I will almost guarantee you will change your mind about the Dovo. Sometimes it's the operator, not the equipment...

Ruining the edge or not the way it was shaving I didn't figure it had much of an edge to ruin. I agree operator error can be the root problem but it's easier to varify the equipment than the operators ability! Either way it's sent off to Lynn and will test it out when it comes back. I'm not saying Dovo are bad just that this one didn't seem to have much of an edge from the start.
