Thanked: 2591I am not sure you did not word this properly but, I would say get the big check book out.
Frankly if you really wanted 40 custom blades you might as well learn to deal with "those shenanigans" it will be cheaper probably and make you more money than reselling 40 customs, in the end.Stefan

Merged the two threads as the topic appears to be the same. Opening another thread is redundant. If you're not getting the replies out of the first one wait for it in the future.

Contacting a manufacturer such as Dovo would probably be your best bet, if I understand you correctly. Getting a run of the same style blade in a finished or semi finished condition would be doable. It would require a sizable investment of long green, but not nearly as much as a custom maker would ask.
Most of the members here seem to pick up vintage razors and rescale/restore them. That is probably the best option unless you have extremely deep pockets.

Hey Bruno,
You forgot to put me on that list.
I got a sander, drill press & some metal shears; all I gotta do is go to Home Depot & pick up a sheet of metal.
I'll turn those babies out at $40.00 a piece,

That wholly depends on your budget. Some people think nothing of dropping mega cash for something they like.
But even at a bargain, 40 razors will cost you at least (and probably more) 250$ per razor, for just the blade and no scales.
So... do you have 10000$ to 20000$ to spare? If that kind of money is aceptable to you, then contact someone like Robert Williams and get the details hammered down (hah). He does this full time so might be able to help you in a reasonable timeframe.
If you can find old blades on ebay that look almost like what you want, it is probably a lot cheaper to modify them (or have someone do that for you). That should at least knock a '0' from the total cost. You could contact dovo or TI, but I am not sure if they will help you. Especially if you want different designs, they either won't want to help you, or charge you the kind of money that would buy razors from custom makers.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 116Sounds like quite the plan you've got going.... If I made 6 digits a year it would be fun to go about this. I'd love to get into making my own scales etc but can't afford the tools necessary to be making them. Well, maybe if I stop buying razors i COULD but what fun is that??
