The Sweet Anticipation Review.
Gentlemen - Like so many others, I thought it was time to slow down the collection and get down to "loving" what I had (being cash strapped helps lol). But the Acquisition Disorder machine that is SRP strikes again
.
Relatively recently, a post concerning "dwarf" or what I call "shorties" came into play - http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...rf-razors.html - I happen to like shorties and as the thread played out, a manufacturer of razors out of the Ukraine showed off some of his work.
Here are some examples (go to the original post if you wish to see more):
Being I like shorties so well and find smiles stunning - his razors had an extremely large amount of appeal to me. I mean look at those things lol - they are awesome looking. I contacted the seller and he quickly responded with a link to his website. He also acknowledged after I mentioned that I was rather poor and would need to wait a while, that he could and would be happy to make any razor I liked if the one I wanted had sold.
Nice. Cuz being "cash strapped" is going to be a position I find myself in for a while.

Anyway, I continued to lust when about eight days later I got a PM. The vendor offered to sell me one of his shorties at a reduced price if I openly and honestly reviewed the blade. I think it is only fair that I mention that, and also state that at no point ever did I feel he didn't want me to be 100% honest. I get the feeling this is a gentleman who is very proud of his work and is more than willing to let his work do the talking as it were.
Moreover, his openness was rather stunning as he shipped the razor to me half jokingly stating that it might take till new-years for it to reach me - and to feel free to pay upon it's arrival. I don't know if I should have said that, but it talks volumes to the character of the vendor in my opinion.
So there you have it - that sweet anticipation is upon me! I love this feeling! Just nothing better in my eyes than waiting to get a new razor.
To be fair though. I am also nervous as sin lol. I generally never shave with anything over a half inch - 4/8's are my thing. Moreover - you see the smile on that thing LOL? I have to admit I have never shaved with a blade with a smile anywhere nearly as big as this. It's going to be Good Times!
Finally, I am going to go ahead and reserve the next three posts. The first for my initial thoughts. The second for the inaugural shave, and the third for a wrap-up review after using it exclusively for about a week or so.
I am truly excited and hope you post any questions, concerns... or what have you and join along in my anticipation lol.David

Re: The Sweet Anticipation Review.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the review as well! I'll bet that's a great for getting into hard to get areas like the hollows on either side of your Adams apple. Plus it looks awesome!

You hit one of my concerns square on the head! I looked at my face in the mirror today and wondered the same thing when it hit me... I don't think I'll use a single "straight" line cutting action with it. It'll all be a kind of uh, rounded motion I am thinking. We'll see.
This is where I am sure it's going to shine right out of the gate... and like all of us, I have some hard to get to areas. Somehow I think it's going to do my cheeks justice as well.
Dang! Is it here yet lol!
Being that it will not make my wrists look too incredibly small as MLA likes to forever point out- maybe I'll take a video for my wrap-up review. If I get it right - I am not sure how I'll ever put it into words.

Thanked: 116After shaving this morning I think I'd appreciate one of these blades for that spot on my neck! Since I just recently lost over 50 lbs, my neck is definitely a different shape. It would be fun to try this beside the adams apple for sure!

Calm down and take a deep breath!
From what I read last night on one of your posts [http://straightrazorpalace.com/finer...sh-death.html]], I think I may have an idea of why you are having money problems. Here's what you said: "Just know that there has only ever been two cars that I have ever had to get rid of rather than were totaled."The idea with cars is to buy and sell them so you can buy another one. Wrecking them may be fun, but it does get expensive!
Whatever you do, don't go for a drive to calm your frustration. The razor will get there in plenty of time for you to have a chance to replicate your avatar in true life! That great big smiley on the razor is just the right curvature for looping off an ear. Wonder if van Gogh used just such a razor?
Any who, I'll be interested in your review and shaving experience.

LOL - you are a quick study White Lion lol! Very quick. But alas, the cars aren't what's made me poor. Fortunately, the majority of those were company cars lol. And yes, they kept buying me more lol.
Heck, until I moved to Kansas I was given a credit card and company cars for years. It used to drive my wife nuts when she would tell me of the great deal she got on gas that day, and I would just look blankly and ask if that was good lol.
There was that one time though that I bought a little Dodge Neon so that I could quit if need-be... I never did quit but that car DID cost me a fortune. Not driving a car is bad news. The break line froze shut - the... well, you get the picture. To top that off the dang thing got stolen lol. But that's a different story.David

Re: The Sweet Anticipation Review.
I don't think I'd worry too much about shaving a straight line or not. Don't think like you have to use the whole blade at once, just use a segment of it to shave a strip when you don't need the full smile.
That's my thinking anyway. I've never used such a smile, but that's how I have it pictured in my mind. When the Dude is recognized in the world, unDudeness will be seen everywhere--- the Dude de Ching

Quit frettin and shave with the darn thing. I suspect that even with the width of the blade AND that evil smile, YOU WILL LOVE IT!.
